I was on a blog this morning that has a countdown to Christmas, and it said there are only 45 days until Christmas!!! Yikes! I haven't even started shopping. I don't even have a solid list of who I'm buying for, let alone what I'm going to buy them. I need to get going!
So we've been getting lots of catalogs in the mail lately. The kids took the Target Christmas Catalog and the one we received from Brilliant Sky Toys & Books, and started marking all the things they want. M is pretty random in her choices, although just about everything would be categorized as "girly." But C was a bit more selective on his choices. Of course, now I have about 50 ideas for each kid, which is way too much!
I've also been keeping Pinterest boards for each kid, so I can pin things as I see them. This has been a wonderful help this season. Last year, I would try to write things down as I ran across them on a website or blog. But now I can just pin them for later. Here are my Pinterest boards, in case you're interested:

I plan to add some of the things they've circled in the catalogs to this boards as well, so I have one solid list for each kid. How about you? Have you made a list? Started shopping? Finished shopping??? What do your kids want this year?

ReplyDeleteMy kids LOVE to circle things in toy catalogs, but I never pay much attention. Partly because we're keeping Christmas simple, but mostly because they consistently circle way too much stuff for it to be consistent!
